Beginners Birdwatching - Inland Water Bodies (Nottinghamshire)

    Date: 19 Jan 2015 - 19 Jan 2015

    Description:

New to birdwatching or still struggling to tell your tufteds from your pochards? Then this is the birdwatching course for you with lots of helpful advice, handouts and practical tips throughout the day. This course is taught entirely in the field to give the maximum time watching birds and perfecting our field craft skills. We keep the group size to a maximum of six so that everyone gets plenty of one to one tuition time and the opportunity to ask questions and get advice.

Water bodies represent a great birdwatching resource where large numbers of ducks, geese, swans and waders congregate, especially in the winter months. We will explore the techniques used to get the most out of visiting these habitats and there is always the chance of spotting a kingfisher too.

Things you will need: suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, packed lunch, binoculars/telescopes/cameras (if you have them) and any guide books you currently use.
