  3. Cancellations

In the unlikely event that Verdant Wildlife deems it necessary to cancel a tour for any reason, customers will be either refunded fully or offered an alternative tour of their choice subject to availability.

If the customer cancels the booking then the following conditions will apply. If the customer cancels more than 14 days before the tour date then they will either be refunded in full or transferred to an alternative tour of their choice. If the customer cancels their booking less than 14 days prior to the tour date, no refund will be available. However, in exceptional circumstances Verdant Wildlife may consider transferring the booking to an alternative tour. This offer is entirely at the discretion of Verdant Wildlife.

Transferring of bookings to alternative tours is subject to availability.

Verdant Wildlife reserves the right to charge an administration fee in relation to customer cancellations, even if a refund is paid.

  4. Insurance and Liability

Customers are advised to take our their own travel insurance to cover any personal loss or injury, medical expenses, death, loss of money and loss or damage to other personal items including optical or photographic equipment.

Verdant Wildlife will not be held responsible if any of the following events occur: illness or injury and any subsequent loss of earnings; cancellation due to adverse weather conditions; failure to locate target species during the tour.

  5. Tour Content and Species

The birds, other fauna and flora described in the tours are representative of the species recorded in the area and seen on previous tours. Whilst Verdant Wildlife will make every effort to locate the species listed for the tour, unforeseen weather conditions, habitat changes, disturbance or other circumstances outside the control of Verdant Wildlife may mean it is not always possible to see all the species listed.

Verdant Wildlife will advise at the time of booking what is included in the tour in terms of transport, lunch and refreshments. Binoculars for customer use will be available if requested in advance. The guide will carry a telescope which will be available for participants to use where appropriate.

Verdant Wildlife do not organise or pay for flights, hotels, visas, public transport, meals or other items of a personal nature. Verdant Wildlife can only advise on local accommodation and cannot be held responsible for any issues relating to accommodation used during the tours.

  6. Customer Obligations

Unless otherwise stated, our tours cover easy to moderate terrain and will require a basic level of fitness. If you have a health problem, medical condition or physical limitation which may affect your enjoyment of the tour, then please advise Verdant Wildlife at the time of booking. Verdant Wildlife will always endeavour to accommodate all levels of physical ability on our tours unless it would be unsafe for the customer to participate. If you have any species dietary requirements please advise Verdant Wildlife at the time of booking so we can advise if we can accommodate you.

Customers should ensure they are suitably dressed for the weather conditions and terrain. If you have any queries on suitable clothing then contact Verdant Wildlife prior to your tour.

Verdant Wildlife adheres to the birdwatcher's code on all tours and requires tour participants to do the same. Details of the bird watchers code can be found on the RSPB website and copies will be available for viewing during the tour. At times, a degree of tolerance may be required when touring in small groups. Verdant Wildlife reserves the right to expel a customer or cancel a tour if any participant behaves in an unreasonable manner.

  7. Data Protection

Verdant Wildlife stores the names and contact details of customers and interested parties on our database. From time to time we may use this information to inform you of upcoming tours or events which may interest you. We never supply your details to third parties.
